During the last half of 2006 I was there on sabbatical, mostly teaching at Fuling Normal University, now known as Yangtze Normal University. Fuling is at the confluence of the Yangtze and Wu rivers, downstream from the major city of Chongqing. I also spent a wonderful month in China in July 2005. Please visit my China pages for details and photos. I got my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia, my M.S. from the University of Maine, and my B.S. from Boise State University. I also attended Michigan Tech, North Idaho College, and the University of Idaho. No school ever asked me to leave. I used to advise the Physics, Engineering, and Astronomy Club, and the C of C Skydiving Club. My tainted history also includes several years as a skydiving bum. Here is my skydiving history. I have relatives in Frankfurt, and Barbados, both of which I recommend you visit (the places, not the relatives). I have enjoyed the hospitality of the people of China, Egypt and Kuwait at various times, and I miss my many friends there. |
